Being close to the digital era, smart medicine is entering the lives of ordinary people. On Nov. 17, the international smart medical innovation trend summit forum with the theme of Enabling Smart Medicine to Seek the Well-being of the People was held online. The forum was hosted by the Organizing Committee of China International Digital Economy Expo, organized by Shijiazhuang Municipal People's Government, and co-organized by Shijiazhuang Bureau of Science and Technology, Shijiazhuang Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone, and Hebei Canxi Network Technology Co., Ltd.

Yin Dakui, member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and former vice minister of the Ministry of Health, said in his speech that the deep integration of the Internet, big data, cloud computing, artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things would greatly promote the revolution in the medical and health fields. In the next five years, smart medicine will usher in a golden development period. It is hoped that Shijiazhuang can learn from the digital medical experience of other countries in the world, build a smart medical industry-university-research platform, create a more dynamic medical biosphere in North China, and make greater contributions to further improving the national health level.

Zhao Zengren, Secretary of the Party Committee of the First Hospital of Hebei Medical University, proposed that the bottleneck and engine of high-quality development of public hospitals lie in their operations. They should constantly provide patients with higher quality, more efficient, safer and more considerate medical services through standardized management and improved governance capabilities.

Home patients are the key population of health services. Zhang Haitao, Chairman of Cardiac Rehabilitation Professional Committee of Medical and Health Exchange Association Across the Taiwan Strait, believes that the management of home patients should be combined online and offline, and information technology and Internet technology to empower grassroots doctors shall be fully used, so as to finally achieve the drug use and living standards of home patients.

How to use digital innovation technology to empower doctors and benefit patients? "Generally speaking, using the digital and intelligent system can help patients understand the disease and guide them to appropriate medical institutions for diagnosis and treatment through screening mechanism and Internet remote consultation function when patients feel bad symptoms." Zhang Wei, founder and CEO of Hangzhou Yongliu Technology, introduced.

At the forum, well-known experts and scholars at home and abroad and representatives of typical enterprises also made speeches around the current situation and future of regenerative medicine and tissue and organ engineering, the application of artificial intelligence technology in early cancer diagnosis, and the market-oriented application of AI medicine.
